Biography

Dr. Meredith McDermott is a board-certified interventional radiologist with a focus on women’s health. After completing medical training in her hometown of Pittsburgh, she went on to complete her radiology residency and interventional radiology fellowship at New York University, Langone Health where she remained on staff as faculty in the School of Medicine.

While on faculty at NYU, Dr. McDermott built a robust clinical practice specialized in the treatment of uterine fibroids and pelvic pain. She completed several research projects related to women’s health and was also heavily involved in medical student and resident education.

Dr. McDermott belongs to the Society of Interventional Radiology and has served on the Women’s Health service line and Government Affairs committee. She has been invited to several national conferences to speak on topics such as adenomyosis and trauma embolization.

More recently, Dr. McDermott moved to the great state of Colorado where she was on staff at Denver Health with an academic appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She is joining MIPS to further focus on and pursue her passion of caring for and treating pelvic and venous diseases in men and women.

Personal

Dr. McDermott enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She can frequently be found in the mountains where she enjoys hiking, camping, and skiing.
